How do I become a Compass IL volunteer?
We are currently seeking volunteers for our Fishing Has No Boundaries program, volunteer drivers for our Transportation program, as well as for other opportunities.
1. Be a passionate advocate
Join us in championing for the full participation in society of all persons with disabilities.
2. Fill out an application
Simply complete and submit the Compass IL Volunteer Application
3. Interview with Compass IL

What time commitment is needed to volunteer?
This can vary upon the volunteer themselves and the needs of any given event. You are able to indicate on the application which days and times work best for you.
What volunteer opportunities are available?

Do I get paid for being a volunteer?
No. As a Compass IL volunteer, you will not receive monetary for financial reimbursement.
What happens if I get injured while volunteering?
All Compass IL volunteers will be covered under our umbrella insurance. Please report any injury immediately to the overseeing supervisor.
Am I able to receive a Letter of Recommendation for volunteering?
Yes. All Compass IL volunteers will receive a Letter of Recommendation upon request.
